The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard will be in Kiowa this Thursday, January 29, at 10:00 a.m. to ceremonially fly two American flags in front of Kiowa Town Hall. These flags will later be presented to Mayor Howard’s family at her memorial services on February 7.

The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees that was set to occur on January 13, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at the Kiowa Town Hall is postponed until Tuesday, January 27th, at 5:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., respectively, to be held at the Kiowa Town Hall, 404 Comanche St., Kiowa, Colorado. The agenda for the meeting shall be posted online no later than 24 hours before the postponed meeting date and time.
