Free Online Live Course on Water Administration, Well Permitting, and Water Rights
The Kiowa Water and Wastewater Authority Board would like to invite those interested in attending a 2-hour online live course being hosted by the Colorado Division of Water Resources on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, from 9:30am-11:30am, here at Kiowa Town Hall (404 Comanche Street).
Black Hills Energy advises of a disruption in service near Kiowa, Colorado
Kiowa, Colo. – August 29, 2024 – On Thursday, August. 29, a portion of Black Hills Energy facilities near Kiowa, Colo. was damaged, resulting in a disruption of service to customers. To safely facilitate the repair process, technicians will go door to door to turn off gas meters in the impacted area. After making repairs and repressurizing the system, our technicians will begin restoring service to impacted customers through Friday, August 30, 2024, including re-lighting of gas appliances.

As many of you are aware, due to the unprecedented amount of moisture we have experienced this summer, we are now dealing with the pests that come as a result. Thus, the Town has contracted with a company called Mosquito Authority to assist in eradicating the tremendous mosquito issue we are encountering right now. After-Hours Water Emergencies
If you are experiencing an after-hours water emergency, such as a broken water line, frozen meter, high pressure incident, etc., please call Douglas County Sheriff Dispatch at 303-660-7500. Do not call 9-1-1 unless it is a life-threatening emergency. When you call, advise dispatch you reside in the Town of Kiowa and have them refer to the bolo in place pertaining to water emergencies.
