It has come to the Town’s attention that a local business owner received a fraudulent email earlier this week that appeared to come from planning.townofkiowa@usa.com.

The Town Hall office will observe adjusted hours and closures during the upcoming holiday season in observance of Christmas and New Year’s Day.

For Christmas, the Town Hall office will close at noon on Wednesday, December 24, and will remain closed for the entire day on Thursday, December 25, 2025. The office is routinely closed on Fridays. Offices will reopen on Monday, December 29, during normal business hours.

We're wrapping up our community input phase and need your voice one last time! This final survey builds on the feedback from Survey #1 and will help us finalize the design and grant application for major park upgrades.

What we need from you:

• Final input on top project priorities
• Feedback on features identified in the first survey
• Community support for the grant application

Note: The survey deadline is December 15.

The Town of Kiowa is working on a grant-funded project to improve the two parks in town. Community comments about the park(s) have been used to create the initial designs; however, we would like your input to help to finalize the scope of the project. Please keep in mind that the project budget and scope is at the discretion of the funders involved in the project as their guidelines for funding dictate what can (or cannot) be included. We will be applying for funding this winter. If funded, the project will be built in summer 2026.

Your input matters. Please review the draft Regional Transportation Plans and share your feedback to help shape a safer transportation system with more mobility options and well-maintained infrastructure across Colorado. 

Public comments are accepted through Aug. 31, 2025.

The Kiowa Water and Wastewater Authority Board invites those interested to attend a two-hour live online course that provides an overview of water administration, well permitting, and water rights in Colorado.

The Town of Kiowa is now using CivicPlus®Mass Notification system to send emergency and routine alerts and notifications.

Subscribers can register to receive emergency alerts via phone calls, text messages, and/or email. Non-emergency messages will be sent by text and/or email.
