Elbert County was established on February 13, 1874, and its 150th birthday is almost here! Earlier this fall various municipalities and community organizations, including the Elbert County Historical Society, gathered together to form the 150th Anniversary Committee and start planning for this once-in-a-lifetime event.
Look for details to be announced after the first of the year for special activities and events throughout 2024 celebrating this historic milestone.
