The Town is on the 2018 version of the International Building Code.
SAFEbuilt, Inc. assists the Town with building services, including architectural review, inspections, and issuance of building permits.
A building permit is typically required for any structure exceeding 120 square feet and/or if electrical, plumbing, or mechanical systems are involved, regardless of size.
Note: We only issue building permits for addresses located within our Municipal Town limits. Any addresses outside of the Town limits will need to get their permit through Elbert County.
The Town does not require Contractor licensing or registration to pull a permit.

Reroof requires final inspection with ladder provided onsite. Mid-roof inspection required when primary pitch is less than 4:12. Ground snow load 35 psf, wind speed (Vult) 110 mph; ice barrier underlayment is not required.
