The Joint Planning & Variance Commission serves in an advisory capacity to the Board of Trustees on issues regarding land use and zoning. The
Joint Planning & Variance Commission is involved with the Town's long-range planning activities including the development of the Kiowa Comprehensive Plan and reviews land-use proposals. For eligibility requirements for a voting seat on the Joint Planning & Variance Commission go to Employment/Volunteer | Town of Kiowa (colorado.gov). Regular meetings of the Joint Planning & Variance Commission are held the first and third Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. Meetings are held at Town Hall located at 404 Comanche Street.
